Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls of ALL ages, well this posting has taken quite a turn for the better I might add. Today is all-hallows-eve or as better known as Halloween. The day before ‘All-Saints Day’ on the Roman Catholic Church Calendar. A question might be – Is it evil to celebrate the dead? Are we living in a zombie apocalypse?

We read this in Romans Chapter 14 beginning at verse 5   LINK = Romans 14:5-13

Romans 14 – New King James Version (NKJV)    The Law of Liberty

One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each person be fully convinced in his own mind.

He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God Thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God THANKS.

For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.

For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s!

For to this end Christ died and rose [from the grave] and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the Living.

But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ.

For it is written:
As I live, says the LORD, EVERY knee shall bow to Me, and EVERY tongue shall confess to God. Isaiah 45:23

So then each of us shall give account of ourselves to God!

Therefore, let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s or sister’s or children’s WAY! Amen!

Dear ones, this chapter gets even better as this concerns Kingdom Living!

Romans 14:14-20

I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him or her it is unclean.

Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in LOVE. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.

Therefore, DO NOT LET your GOOD be spoken of as evil; for the Kingdom of God IS NOT eating and drinking, but Righteousness and Peace and JOY in the Holy Spirit.

For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

Therefore, let us pursue the things which make for Peace and the things by which one may edify another.

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food (Halloween candy & costumes). All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with an offense.

Here are a few suggestions to ENJOY a fall festival instead of a ghoulishly wicked & scary romp in the streets:

Have the children dress up as Bible Characters! IF they can quote a Bible verse from memory – then they get a wholesome treat (or candy). Open up the church, especially during bad weather for fun & games for children of ALL ages. Door prizes for best costumes by age groups! Give away autographed Bibles! 8>}

Present the Gospel Message of JESUS and the Resurrection Power that is in each of us! Having FUN away from cell phones, tablets & computers as they learn about JESUS!

Above ALL remember Romans 8:1

Therefore, there is now NO CONDEMNATION [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are IN Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].

Please DO NOT cast judgement of others! DO NOT harm or embarrass any children, teenagers or other adults by your words or actions.

In summary let YOUR LIGHT (attitude, generosity, kindness, compassion) so shine before men (all people), that they may see your GOOD WORKS and Glorify your Father in Heaven, who you serve as His Child!  LINK = Matthew 5:16

HALLELUJAH & AMEN!!!
