THE DIFFERENCE!
I got up this morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just rumbled about me and heavier came each task;
Why doesn’t God help me? I wondered, He said but you didn’t ASK!
I wanted to see JOY and Beauty, but the day toiled on, grey and bleak;
I wondered WHY God didn’t show me. He said but you didn’t SEEK!
I tried to come into God’s Presence; I used all my KEYS at the lock;
God Gently and Lovingly chided – My Child, you didn’t KNOCK!
I woke up early this morning and PAUSED before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish that I HAD to take TIME to PRAY!
Dear ones IT IS WRITTEN IN Matthew 7:7-8 & Luke 11:9-10
ASK and keep on ASKING and it will be given to you; SEEK and keep on SEEKING and you will find; KNOCK and keep on KNOCKING and the door WILL BE OPENED to you.
For EVERYONE who keeps on ASKING Receives, and he who keeps on SEEKING Finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, IT WILL BE OPENED.
The LORD our GOD wants to KNOW for certain:
How serious are you about your Prayer Requests?
Persistence is the KEY that unlocks the Power of His LOVE!
It is a “hope so” kind of request OR is your Prayer of FAITH that ONLY the Sovereign LORD – Creator of the Universe can possibly make IT happen? Many books have been written about HOW and WHEN GOD answers Prayers! Personal testimonies expound on His Mercies and His Miracles that have covered the earth. HALLELUJAH!
Sometimes we do NOT Pray because we have believed the LIE of our enemy that GOD won’t answer YOUR PRAYER – it is like God only answers the Prayers of Pastors Priests & Ministers. We may even have a false sense of humility that begs – I could never ask GOD to do that for me. YOU ARE RIGHT; it is NOT for your sake that GOD does anything. LINK = Isaiah 48:11
Once a person has made the Great Exchange of my life for HIS LIFE, then the LORD our GOD treats us like His Son and OUR Brother IN CHRIST! We are CO-HEIRS with Him for ALL of Eternity!
The Disciple JAMES in the fourth chapter of his Book in the Bible explains this concept:
LINK = James 4:1-9
What leads to [the unending] quarrels and conflicts among you? Do they not come from your [hedonistic] desires that wage war in your [bodily] members [fighting for control over you]?
You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your lust goes unfulfilled; so you murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [the object of your envy]; so you fight and battle. You do not have because you do not ask [it of God].
You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires.
You adulteresses [disloyal sinners; flirting with the world and breaking your vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend [that is, loving the things of the world] is being God’s enemy? So, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Or do you think that the Scripture says to no purpose that the [human] spirit which He has made to dwell in us lusts with envy?
But He gives us more and more Grace [through the Power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our Faith and our Gratitude for our Salvation]. Therefore, it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD and HAUGHTY, BUT [continually] GIVES [the Gift of] GRACE TO THE HUMBLE [who turn away from self-righteousness].
So submit to [the Authority of] God. YOU-Resist the devil [STAND FIRM against him] and he [the devil] will flee from you.
Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people].
This is HOW we can make THE DIFFERENCE in our sphere of influence surrounding us.
Take the time to PRAY – Trust and Obey at the start of your DAY!
