“Righteousness” exalts a nation while sin is a reproach to many people are words found in the Bible and those words are true. As a nation, we have disregarded the words of our Creator and have tried to eliminate the mention of Him from our public schools and all other public places.

Father , have mercy on us, forgive us, we have sinned and come short of Your Glory and do not deserve to be heard, but You are a God of Mercy and Your Mercy endures forever. That’s how long we are going to need it, so Father DO hear us, DO answer we pray in the Blessed and Holy Name of Jesus our Lord. Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is   Proverbs 14:34

Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding, But what is in the heart of fools is made known. Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people. The king's favor is toward a wise servant, But his wrath is against him who causes shame.

Proverbs 14:34

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.  1Corinthians 13:4-13

When I was a child in public school, we had “prayer time”! We read out loud daily devotionals from the Bible and we asked the teachers questions about the words that we had just heard and prayed. Yes, this was America at a time when we had no separation of “church” and “state”.

We understood that the entrance of God’s Word gives Light and Life!

Our children today cannot even mention the Name of God without being punished or reprimanded.

Lord, give us Your Grace to teach the Word of God to our children and our grandchildren daily. Amen and Amen!
