Today's Prayer Alert 12-4-2009

In a news report about 1,300 people gathered at the Amarillo, Texas Civic Center and asked God to Bless and Guide them, as did other local, state and federal leaders. While many are turning away from Christianity as a Religion, others are turning their faces toward Heaven and calling out to GOD for help in time of need. May our response to the many calls to prayer BE from the heart.

Father in Heaven, again we pray that nominal religion will be replaced with a deep seated desire for a meaningful, personal relationship with our Creator, and our Father – GOD!  It is in the Name of Jesus we pray.  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for today’s prayer of agreement:

Ladies and Gentlemen, we live in extra ordinary times!  This world and all of its woes are growing darker and darker.  We have the Hollywood version of what might happen in the year 2012. We have pandemics and diseases that kill and destroys thousands of lives without any end in sight. We are wasting God’s resources with foolish arguments and petty bickering. The Bible warns us about these times, that lawlessness will abound, and the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:12-13).

What we need now more than ever is the Divine Intervention of Almighty God to HEAL OUR LAND!

We must follow God’s own Words written almost 4,000 years ago, given to us as the wisdom of Solomon, who was an earthly king that had a deep personal relationship with Almighty God.

If My People who are called by My Name will 1) humble themselves, and 2) pray and 3) seek My Face, and 4) turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and I will heal their land. Now My Eyes will be open and My Ears attentive to Prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this House {Temple},  that My Name {very Presence} may be there forever; and My Eyes and My Heart will be there perpetually.   2Chronicles 7:14-16

This is the very best offer we could imagine! By His Presence, He will hear our prayers!

However, with the promise of God, comes a warning that we must consider as well. For our God is a Just God and a Righteous God. His is the same Yesterday, Today, and Forever – Amen!

"But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them, then I will uproot them from My Land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My Name I will cast out of My Sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples. And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, 'Why has the LORD done thus to this land and this house?' Then they will answer, 'Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.    2Chronicles 7:19-22

I tell you all the Truth, America is Great because we have put God Almighty as our first priority. One Nation, under the authority of God, with liberty and justice for all. It is time to proclaim our allegiance to one another under the sovereign Lordship of Christ Jesus as our Savior and our Redeemer.

As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord God Almighty, who WAS and IS and IS to come!
