Today's Prayer Alert 12-3-2009

From an article in Christian Newswire  the most recent ARI Survey found that 15% of the adult population in America does not identify with any religion and the number is growing. The Barna Group, revealed that Christianity was declining particularly among young Americans. 

Heavenly Father, we pray for REVIVAL in AMERICA!   Not a revival of religion, but a revival of true Christianity.  A Revival of Purity, Righteousness, and True Holiness.  May Your People be awakened to see what is happening in the land and be determined TO DO exactly what Your Word says to do.

Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for today’s prayer of agreement:

Ladies and Gentlemen, have we been sitting in our church pews so long that we have forgotten what God requires of us? Are we only asking God what He can do for us, instead of asking what is it that we should be doing for the Lord?

Jesus says, “My house shall BE a house of Prayer” ( Luke 19:46 )  When was the last time that our congregation got down on our knees during a church service and “prayed together” as the people of God should do?  When have we put aside all of the social announcements, all of our petty bickering, and all of our complaining about what is wrong with the world, and only worshipped Him for Who He IS and what He has already done?

Jesus said to us, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, __________?

He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?  Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own Authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does these works. Believe Me that I AM in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My Name, that I will do, that the Father may be Glorified in the Son. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He {the Holy Spirit} may abide with you forever-- - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.     John 14:9-17

ALL that is required of us is to LOVE GOD with all of our heart, all of our soul, and all of our strength, and LOVE our neighbor as we love and take care of ourselves. This is NOT difficult to do!

Because Jesus has FIRST priority in your life, your heart’s desire is to please Him and you will naturally keep all of His Commandments.  God does not need your money!  We FREELY give to the works of the ministry because we want to expand the Kingdom of God here on earth, exactly as it is in Heaven! I am Blessed by God to BE a Blessing to others. A “Good Samaritan” to all people regardless of race, creed, or national origin. Be like Jesus, in all that I SAY and all that I DO each day.
