Today is the eightieth birthday of my dear wife, a faithful follower of the Lord JESUS, and my loving and lovely wife of sixty-two years on January 17th, 2010.   Marriage is a wonderful gift.   God gave it to the human family and it is intended to be forever.

Father God, I thank You for my wife and our children, our grandchildren and our great grandchildren.  We have been Blessed beyond measure!  I pray that all those who join with me in prayer today will be Blessed as we have been Blessed!   Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is    Genesis 2:18 & 21-24

And the LORD God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.  And Adam said: "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and these two shall become one flesh.

Here is the BEST description of my wife Velma:

Who can find a virtuous {full of valor} wife?   For her worth is far above rubies.  The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Her husband is known in the gates {of the sanctuary}, when he sits among the elders of the land.

She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all."  Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears {honors and respects} the LORD, she shall be praised.  Proverbs 31:10-12 & 23 & 27-30

Thank You Lord Jesus, for this perfect gift of my wife!  Amen and Amen!
