And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand." So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
But Moses' hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven."
And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-LORD-Is-My-Banner; (Jehovah Nissi)
Ladies and Gentlemen, we sometimes need help with our prayers. We may become weary from the battles that we daily face. As we become older our strength and endurance seems to become less and less. We may need family and friends to support us and hold our hands as we pray. When we have one on the right and one on the left in prayer, we become a trinity! God’s Word promises that when two or three are gathered together in the spiritual authority of His Name, His very Presence is with us and whatever we ask according to His Divine Purposes WILL BE DONE!
Heavenly Father, we lift up to the Light of Your Holy Countenance the Spiritual Leaders of this nation. We pray for Reverend Billy Graham, Your humble and faithful servant. Billy Graham is like the Moses of our generation. His face and voice are showing the signs of his age. We want to stand beside him and lift up his hands in prayerful agreement. We remember the millions of people who have come to know Christ Jesus our Lord through Billy Graham’s ministries.
Lord Jesus, we pray that You would strength him as he continues to live out Your Plan for His life. We ask for Your Divine Intervention and Special Favor be upon Reverend Billy Graham as he has a powerful influence for Your Goodness and Your Mercies with world leaders. Let everyone SEE the Love of God in our eyes as we pray together in agreement that Your Truth would prevail against all the assaults of our enemies.
Almighty God, just as You transitioned Moses and passed on the leadership and spiritual authority to Joshua, we pray that You would reveal the Joshua for our generation. Who will carry the baton and stand up and say, “As for me and my household, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!”
