Let us focus our prayers today on National Debts and Personal Debts. How much in monies do you owe today?  How much are your totals for credit card balances, car loans, boat loans, mortgages, student loans, and any obligations to pay secured and/or unsecured by collateral?  Now add $43,750 for every member of your household – family of four would be $175,000.00 added to their total debts.

Our National Debts are almost $14 Trillion dollars and climbing. We are spending our grand children’s monies and we have no hope of ever repaying these solemn obligations. Under President Bush our nation was $10 Trillion in debt which was deplorable. However, with President Obama and these liberal members of Congress, we have made into laws spending over $4 Trillion dollars in only 20 months. These record deficits cannot be sustained without dramatic results.  Spending $14 Trillion while only collecting $ 2 Trillion dollars will never work.  We personally cannot spend $850,000.00 in one year with only a salary of $75,000.00 per year.  These consequences are catastrophic for both our nation and every individual that lives in the United States of America.

Heavenly Father, FORGIVE us for NOT being “good stewards” of Your manifold Blessing and Resources. As the outline of Your Prayer states, “Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.” Your Word says that everyone that commits a sin is a slave to that sin. John 8:34

Lord Jesus, we as followers of Christ must be FREE from ALL DEBTS. We must eliminate the costs to carry debts and pay back everything that we promised to pay to everyone that we gave our solemn word or pledge to pay. Our words and our promises must be trusted, because we are Ambassadors for Christ and we represent Jesus in exactly the same manner as He taught His Disciples. All things that are given to Christ Jesus our Lord are multiplied. We want to be the lender and not to borrow. We know that it is more blessed to give than to receive!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Romans 13:7-14

Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenues to whom revenues are due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.

Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."  Exodus 20:13-15, 17; Deuteronomy 5:17-19, 21; Leviticus 19:18

Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Amen and Amen!
