So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given.  Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all of His Grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."

Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .   2Corinthians 9:5-11

Ladies and Gentlemen, the question is “Why does Almighty God provide you with His Abundant Grace?”

I believe that God knows your heart and He TRUSTS you to plant the seeds that He has given you into the Kingdom of God Purposes. We exercise our faith when we plant seeds into the good soil of the Church Universal of the Living Lord Jesus. We must realize that it is ALL GOD’s money and we are just stewards of His currency.

Suppose that you are in Bismark, North Dakota and you have 50,000 Pesos in your hand. You want to buy gasoline and groceries and no one in the state of North Dakota will exchange your Pesos for what you need. The only currency of value in North Dakota is the American Dollar or the Canadian Dollar.

The same is true of the Kingdom of God! Jesus says, ”Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”     Matthew 6:19-21

Jesus says to “GO and make disciples of all nations!” So ask yourself the question, how many people have I invested my time, my talents, and shared my faith in Jesus with today? When have I paid for a lunch or a dinner or a tank of gas for a single mom and her children? When have I given a donation to the police fund or fireman’s fund that takes care of the families of those fallen comrades that have died in service to our local communities? When have I given monies to the missions program of my local church to help spread the Gospel message around the world?

 

Heavenly Father, we pray today for Your Spirit of Generosity to be with us all. We THANK YOU for the seeds that You have given us to be good stewards over. We want to invest our time, our talents and our treasure into what is pleasing to You Lord. With the guidance of Your Holy Spirit, provide us with those Divine Appointments today, where we can share the Love of the Lord and build relationships for the advancement of the Kingdom of God, here on earth, just as it is in Heaven!
