Let us focus our prayers today on “What would Jesus say . . . .?”

Imagine if you will that Christ Jesus our Lord is standing next to you at a “town hall” meeting. What would Jesus say about the actions, attitudes, and the accusations that are being voiced at these gatherings? How would our Heavenly Father look upon His Children that are “fighting” and railing against one another with words and signs and emotions that only divide our homes?

Ladies and Gentlemen, since we have “the mind of Christ” we must present ourselves in exactly the same manner, with His Boldness and His Confidence that has been given to each of us. WE MUST NOT HAVE A SPIRIT OF FEAR, but a spirit of His Power, a spirit of His Love, and a spirit of His Sound mind with rational, fair, and reasonable thinking.

2 Timothy 1:6-7

For just a few moments this morning, as you read this web page, ask the Lord to SEE these situations that we face in exactly the same manner that Jesus sees our actions, attitudes and reporting of events.  Wait for His Response!  It may come in the form of a Bible verse(s) that comes into your mind. It may be a television report that quickens in your heart. It may be a question from your child or one of your co-workers that you must give a spiritually correct answer. Please, stop and think for just a few moments and then DO what in your heart of hearts that you believe that Jesus would do and what Jesus would say!

Heavenly Father, we pray for all those who are in a position of authority at the local, state, and national levels of our government. Many people have voiced their “distrust” of these men and women who serve in the highest positions of leadership in this country.

Lord Jesus, we earnestly pray that Your Wisdom, Your Integrity, and Your Honesty would be the tripod on which all decisions are made by our leaders.  We pray that “common sense” will prevail and that political gains will be forgotten. We believe that a right relationship with You Lord, will IMPROVE them and their actions and attitudes. Show the leaders of our country how to “wash the feet” of the people that they were elected to serve. If these men and women continue to ignore a right relationship with You and reject becoming the “servant leaders” as intended, then we pray that You would REMOVE them from office that they hold and replace those people with someone who has a heart for God and the things that are important for the Kingdom of God!

This we ask of the Father, believing in the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit – ONE GOD, now and forever more.

Amen and Amen!
