Let us focus our prayers today on our Love of God and our love of country!

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

U.S. Constitution: First Amendment

''The Free Exercise Clause . . . withdraws from legislative power, state and federal, the exertion of any restraint on the free exercise of religion. Its purpose is to secure religious liberty in the individual by prohibiting any invasions there by civil authority.'' It bars ''governmental regulation of religious beliefs as such,'' prohibiting misuse of secular governmental programs ''to impede the observance of one or all religions or . . . to discriminate invidiously between religions . . . even though the burden may be characterized as being only indirect.'' Freedom of conscience is the basis of the free exercise clause, and government may not penalize or discriminate against an individual or a group of individuals because of their religious views nor may it compel persons to affirm any particular beliefs.    {Footnotes from case law http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/data/constitution/amendment01/05.html}

Ladies and Gentlemen, are we One Nation under God’s Sovereign Authority, with Liberty and Justice for all people? Our founding fathers believe that this was so and wrote it down in our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. The first Continental Congress started with a 3 hour prayer meeting with all of the participants asking for God’s Divine Intervention, His Wisdom and His Revelation Knowledge. {http://www.wallbuilders.com/downloads/newsletter/Summer2006.pdf}

Our three branches of government were set up to avoid the tyranny of the “one man rule” of the king of England, who was corrupt and had no concept of the consequences of his actions on peoples’ lives. Then the king of England had surrounded himself with a group of self-serving people that wanted to advance their own personal wealth without regard to what it costs the people in colonies of America. These colonists owed their loyalty to the king of England. Their opinion did not matter to the king, they were subjects of the crown. The king’s advisors thought that they would levy taxes on the prosperity of the colonists and spend their monies on things the government wanted to control.

“Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it. All that's necessary for the forces of evil to win in the world is for enough good men to do nothing.”

Edmund Burke statesman 1729-1797

Heavenly Father, we need Your Sovereign Intervention in our lives more today, than ever before in our nation’s history. We pray that Your Holy Spirit Presence would fill the halls of Congress and the White House with Your Divine Perspective and Conviction that there will be consequences for each and every action that is about to take place in the government of the United States. Remind each and every member of congress, the Supreme Court members, and the President’s staff, cabinet members, and his appointed “czars” that God’s Law will always triumph over man’s law.

As our elected representatives seem to ignore the provisions of our Constitution and have declared that they have “enough votes to pass anything that they want”, let their prideful arrogance be put to shame and openly displayed by the light of Your Truth, what they are doing behind the scenes and in darkness.

Lord Jesus, apart from Your Grace, we can do nothing in our own strength. We ask that You Lord would HEAL OUR LAND!  Restore Your Righteousness, Your Peace and Your Joy that we may once again BE the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Amen and Amen!
