On Fridays we pause to GIVE THANKS and proclaim the Goodness of our God!

We Thank You, Almighty God, for our creation, preservation, and ALL the Blessings of this life!  We Thank You for Your LOVE towards us and all the members of the Family of God around this world!

Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of Prayer
That calls me from a world of care
And bids me at my Father's Throne
Makes all my wants and wishes known
In seasons of distress and grief
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempter's snare
By Thy return sweet hour of Prayer

Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of Prayer
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless
And since He bids me seek His Face
Believe His Word and Trust His Grace
I'll cast on Him my every care
And wait for Thee sweet hour of Prayer

We have asked the Lord our God for a lot of HELP this week.  Many of our problems have been brought before Him and I know that HE has HEARD US! 

Father God, we love You and we come before Your Presence today to express our THANKS for the things that have been revealed to us by Your Spirit.  We know ALL BLESSINGS come from You!

Lord Jesus, we know that You are FAITHFUL to keep Your Word!  Your Promises are FOREVER!

We believe His Word and we will Trust His Grace and wait for Thee, sweet hour of Prayer!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  1John 5:11-15

And this is the testimony: that God has given us Eternal Life, and this life is in His Son {Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior}. He who has {knowledge and acceptance of} the Son has life; he who does not have {faith and trust and loves} the Son of God does not have life.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His Will {His Divine Purpose – His Plan for our lives}, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

God answers Prayers of the heart, inspired by Faith that HE IS, Trusting His Ability that HE CAN and the earnest prayer – never-the-less not my ideas about what needs to happen, but THY WILL BE DONE on earth, just as it is Heaven!
