Let us focus our prayers today on public schools, administrators, teachers, and support people.  Our precious children will be under their influence in a few days for the next nine months.  Some have chosen this occupation for good reasons, even proclaiming that they feel “called of God to teach”!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are ALL commanded by God to diligently teach our children!

All children are a gift from God! We as parents are to be stewards over these lives to lead, guide, direct and ENJOY them for a very very short season of time. Children will seek companionship and fellowship for their own pleasure. When any parent starts demanding and controlling every aspect of the lives of their child or grandchild, without the Word of the Living Lord planted in their hearts and minds, they will become rebellious.  The family that prays together, stays together, because they love the same Lord!

Father God, we pray daily for these people who teach our children!  May we the parents and the grandparents faithfully pray for the men and women who serve us and our children with this most important assignment of training a child in the Way that they should go!  Lord Jesus, we ask for Your Blessings, Your Protections, Your Holy Spirit Presence be in each and every school room, library, gymnasiums and cafeterias during every single day that classes are session. Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Deuteronomy 6:4-11

Hear O Israel: The LORD our God the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.

You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house when you walk by the way when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.  Proverbs 22:6

Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the Kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive {in faith and trust} the Kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." And He took them up in His Arms, laid His Hands on them, and He Blessed them.  Mark 10:13-16

Make it so dear LORD, make it so!
