Today's Prayer Alert 07-21-2010

As HE spoke these words, many believed in HIM, “If you abide in My Word, you are My Disciples indeed, and you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you FREE.”  John 8:30-32

Make no mistake about this Divine Promise!  The article adjective used twice is “the” and not “a”.  Jesus proclaims with all Authority that when we abide in His Word, when we dwell in His Presence, when we seek first His Kingdom, we will have not just “a” truth, but “the” Truth!  There is only ONE Truth!   We can have the Wisdom and Revelation Knowledge of Almighty God, inside our hearts and inside our very way to thinking.  Nothing else but You – Lord!   Nothing else but You, Lord Jesus!

Heavenly Father, we have been lied to so often and by so many people that severe doubts have flooded our minds. The President of the United States, the members of Congress, the candidates for the Supreme Court and the reporters in the news media have ALL proclaimed good things as evil and evil things as good. Proverbs 17:13-20

Lord Jesus, we want to clear our heads and renew our minds! We must have created within us a clean heart Oh God!  We need a right spirit within each one of us.  Speak to our minds and impress our hearts with The Truth, The Whole Truth, and nothing but Your Truth!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is   Proverbs 12:17-20-22

Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.

Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy.

He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness is deceit.

Ladies and Gentlemen, there is coming a time in this country when we must know with absolute certainty – what we believe!  Our Faith will be tested!  Our children and even some of us will be required to “take a stand”!  If you do not know what the Bible says about our existence and the right way of living our lives, we WILL lose all of our freedoms in America!  Things are changing very rapidly.  Billy Graham warned in a recent book “Storm Warnings”

Jesus said, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is…You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?” (Luke 12:54-56).

The truth is, we don’t like our lives disrupted. We have important things to do; ball games to watch, work to finish, concerts to attend, trips that have been arranged and perhaps paid for months in advance.

We must read His Word daily!  We must “watch and pray” earnestly!  The scales of Justice are about to tip in one direction or another.  We must choose Whom we will serve and Who we will obey!  As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord our God!
