Heavenly Father, we have ignored Your Ways for a long time now. We have not followed Your Command to seek FIRST and foremost the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness – Matthew 6:33
Our priorities are not dependent upon God’s Ways of living our lives. FORGIVE US Lord, for following the leaders of our country who are offering bribes to pass laws that attempt to “redistribute wealth” in our nation. FORGIVE US Lord, for not trusting in You to provide ALL OUR NEEDS.
FORGIVE US Lord Jesus, for speaking evil of all the good things, all of true words of wisdom, all of the noble ideas, all of those things that are trustworthy, and even the miraculous events of our daily lives. Have Mercy upon us, Oh most merciful Lord! Amen and Amen!
The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is Isaiah 5:20-23
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away justice from the righteous man!
Ladies and Gentlemen, we must NOT depend upon the government to take care of us! We must NOT depend upon the welfare “check” to provide our needs. We must NOT spend monies that we do not have to spend. Government jobs do NOT create wealth! Government “bail-out” funds do NOT stimulate this economy! The political practice of trying to “redistribute wealth” is directly opposite of the Gospel of Christ Jesus our Lord.
Our first response to our economic crisis was to print more money. Our dependence on government programs has caused us to only trust in government assistance. Our elected leaders are giving “bribes” to one another to pass laws that will only result in more government powers over every aspect of our lives.
Deliver us Oh Lord, from those people that are self promoting leaders that seek strife with a deceitful heart and have a perverse tongue. Let those people that conspire behind closed doors have all of their lies be exposed to the Light of Your Holy Countenance. Let the liars be caught in their own web of deceit and falsehoods. Revive us Oh Lord! Help us to know Your Truth and “The Truth” shall set us all FREE from the bondage of our sins.
