A GREAT question for us today is “How then shall we live?”  In 1923 the president’s of seven prestigious institutions came together in Chicago for a meeting of many of the world’s most successful financiers. These were all men of great wealth, stature, and influence. Yet, within 25 short years after this meeting, these men discovered the reality that this world just does not offer enough to satisfy.

One of these wealthy men went to prison. Another man was put into a hospital for the insane. Two of the men died penniless and three men committed suicide before 1948. All of these men had master the art of making a living, but none of them had learned HOW TO LIVE!

Heavenly Father, we pray today that You would teach us how to live our lives and fulfill the purpose for which we were created. We are spiritual beings that are here on earth for a temporary assignment. Apart from a real relationship with You, we can do almost nothing. However, through the power and strength of consistent ‘communion’ with You – ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Our Lord Jesus gave us the best examples of how to live our daily lives. Arise before dawn, pray and listen to what our Father has to say. Meditate on His Words, then go about our day looking for those Divine Appointments and DO what the Holy Spirit of the Living Lord compels you TO DO!

Ask the Lord today, What can I do today Lord, that would give You pleasure?  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Matthew 6:19-21

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the hour has come and now IS when the true worshipers of God will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth! For the Lord our God wants to find those people who will acknowledge Him and what He has done. The Lord our God wants FIRST priority in our daily lives. The Lord our God wants us to spend TIME with Him in prayer and meditation on His Word. Remember the scriptures that apply to our daily lives and have faith enough to Believe – ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

It is the Lord our God that gives us power to gain wealth! We are to advance the Kingdom of God here on earth TO BE just as it is in Heaven. God does not need our monies. God wants us to give so that others can be Blessed. When we trust in the Lord with all of our heart for His Provision in our lives, then we can freely GIVE to those that have needs, because His Spirit is leading guiding and directing our lives.

When we pray this morning, consider this perspective: Am I doing my Father’s Business? What am I suppose to be doing for the Kingdom of God? How should I pray for my family members? What should I pray for my co-workers? What are the things that Almighty God is concerned about in the earth?  Jesus has already done so much for me, what can I do for Him that would be pleasing to Him?

Follow the teaching about the good Samaritan “Go and DO LIKEWISE!”

Amen and Amen!
