Let us focus our prayers today on INSTANT COMMUNICATIONS! Imagine using a small hand held cell phone in Sioux City, Iowa to record voice and motion pictures that are transmitted to a satellite above the earth and back down again to New York City. Now this cell phone conversation and pictures are broadcast on the Fox News Network AND CNN and ABC, NBC, CBS or CBN, TBN, Daystar and the Church Channel. Did you know that these daily Prayer Alerts have been viewed by more than 73,500 over the Internet in the month of May?

Imagine what the Apostle Paul could have done by encouraging and teaching the people of his generation with a “Power Point” Presentation of the Gospel! What if you could email the Apostle John on the isle of Patmos and ask “What are these seven seals that you are talking about”?

Heavenly Father, We Thank You for our creation, preservation, and all of the Blessings of this life. We Thank You for the miracle of electronic communications. We know that “life” and “death” are in the power of my tongue. Remind me to always speak Blessings and not cursing. Show us all how to use the world wide web to spread the Good News of Salvation through trust and faith in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Remind us also that PRAYER must be our first response and not our last resort on ANY matter. When we say HIS NAME – Jesus, we have all of heavens’ undivided attention!

Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is    1Peter 3:8-12

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

For "He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the Eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His Ears are open to their prayers; But the Face of the LORD is against those who do evil." Psalm 34:12-16

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have this treasure in earthen vessels. We have the Giver of Gifts, this Spirit of Truth, that will lead, guide, and direct our lives into all Truth. Yet we speak angry words, shouts of disgust and we sometimes speak curses towards our children and upon our brothers and sisters in Christ.  We must see and hear one another as God sees and hears each of us.

There is enough evil in this world without me adding to it!

One of my consistent prayers is Psalms 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart BE always acceptable in Your Sight {and Your Hearing}, Oh LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

Amen and Amen!
