The Bible records on the day of Pentecost there was the sound of the rushing mighty wind that filled the whole house where the believers were praying. Observing the “wind” is a unique experience. No one knows where wind comes from and no one can control where wind will go. We generally cannot see the wind. We only see the effects of the wind. Wind has temperature such as a ‘cold wind’ and a ‘hot wind’. Winds on earth can be as a gentle breeze or a full force tornado.

Heavenly Father, we know that the winds have been described as the ‘breath of God’. We pray today that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit on us again. Fill us anew and afresh that we may walk in the Power of the Holy Spirit of the Living God. Clear out all of our old stale ways of thinking and lead guide and direct us with Your Spirit of Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth of Almighty God!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  John 14:25-27

Jesus says: These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. PEACE I leave with you, My Peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--  the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Ladies and Gentlemen the Word of God is TRUE! We can absolutely trust what Jesus says. So we should let the PEACE of God rule over our hearts and minds. We should be anxious for nothing!  We can and must take Jesus at His Word!

Breathe on me, Holy Spirit of the Living Lord! Breathe on me!

So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.”

John 20:21-22

Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

John 3:5-8

The hour has come and now is when the true worshippers of God will worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth, for the Lord our God seeks those who will worship Him!

Amen and Amen!
