We are reminded that the first Thursday in May has been designated by Congress as a National Day of Prayer. We believe America has been successful because we, as a people and as a nation, have honored God and have worshipped God. We have made Him preeminent in our lives. He has been in times past since the Continental Congress been recognized within our government as the ultimate Authority in our Laws and our way of life. Those of us American citizens that believe in the Divine Providence of Almighty God will abide by the “law of the land” and for one day exercise our prayers, meditations, and our corporate acknowledgement of our total dependence on God’s Mercies, God’s Grace and God’s Truth as written in the Bible.  Those American citizens that do not believe there is a God, can quietly and respectfully not interfere we those of us who do. This is why America has NO NATIONAL RELIGION!  Everyone is FREE to go to their synagogues, their temples, their churches, their half-way houses, their camp sites, their compounds, and even their mosque and say whatever prayers they want to pray WITHOUT government interference of any kind!

Heavenly Father, We are Your People, called by Your Name! We need to humble ourselves and repent, turn from our wickedness and evil ways. We need to seek Your very Presence, not for just one day each year, but for every day of our lives. Oh GOD, hear the cry of our hearts – have mercy upon us! Forgive us Lord we pray! Hear our prayers and HEAL OUR LAND!   Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Galatians 6:6-10

Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap Everlasting Life. And let us not grow weary while we are doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Amen and Amen!

Ladies and Gentlemen, PRAYER IS setting up the appropriate conditions for supernatural divine intervention into the circumstances of our lives, our families’ lives, and across this entire nation. We are here to advance the Kingdom of God through ‘His Church’ here on earth, just as it is in Heaven.

If no-one invites God to work here on our behalf, then Satan (the god of this world through man’s universal rebellion – 2 Corinthians 4:4) will dominate the affairs of men and women with lies, deceptions, discouragements, and eventually we may suffer the consequences of our wicked ways. By inviting God often and specifically through prayer and communion with Him, multitudes of people can be saved that would otherwise be lost in their sins and unbelief.

When we get concerned about the things, events, and lives of people that JESUS is concerned about, we will have all of Heaven’s undivided attention through Prayer!

Prayer is Patriotic!   Prayer is Powerful!   Prayer is Provisional!   Prayer is Praise-worthy and full of Thanks for all of God’s Blessings. We should at all times and in all places ‘pray without ceasing’!

Amen and Amen!
