In the Bible and in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, there are several sections that begin with the words “He that hath and ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”

My king James’s English is not that good so my paraphrase would be like “if you can read these words, let the reader be led by the Holy Spirit to understand their comparisons to my life today”.

And to the Angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the Creation of God:

I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My Mouth.

Heavenly Father, we pray that neither apathy nor complacency will rule over our lives. If we say things like “I don’t know what that has to do with me” or “I really don’t care about . . . . . “ We have succumbed to the lies and deceptions of the devil and Your Truth is not within us.

Father God, reveal the Truth of these words to us today! Let our hearts “burn within us” as You share the Truth about the condition of Your People, that are called by Your Name in our country today.

Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is   Revelation 3:13-22

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'--and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Apostle John was isolated on the isle of Patmos and he was an old man. No person was doing the edits on his memory statements about what he saw Jesus DO and what he heard Jesus SAY! These chapters were his written record of the Word of God, influenced by the Holy Spirit of God, for the witness and validations to the People of God!

Imagine what God Almighty might say to you, right now, today IF you would isolate yourself from the influence of the world’s system! Maybe take a weekend and go camping in the Hill Country of Texas. Take only a good coat, blankets, and a writing pad and pencil or pen – no computers, no cell phones, no radios, no CD players, no iPods, no typewriters, nothing electrical, no newspapers, no magazines, no family, no friends. Just you, a copy of the Bible, and the Spirit of the Resurrected Lord Jesus to talk and pray with about what God sees and what God wants you to do in this life! You may “fast” if you want to, though that is not necessary. Try it, you may like it. It could be a revelation to you!
