Today is called “Good Friday” and yet it is the day that Jesus – The Christ – The only Begotten Son of God willing laid down His Life for ALL of us sinners. He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our Peace was upon Him. By His stripes – we are healed! Isaiah 53:5

An innocent man, a person who did not sin was put through a torturous death. He was crucified and died within 3 hours. Jesus offered Himself as the sacrificial Lamb of God, Who takes away – pays the price for your sins and my sins. Christ died, He was buried in a borrowed tomb. On the third day His Resurrection Power exploded from that tomb as Jesus conquered death once for all of mankind.

Heavenly Father, we THANK YOU for the example of obedience of Your Son, Christ Jesus our Lord, our Savior, our Redeemer! We are overwhelmed by Your Love for us. Thank You for making a way for us, where there was no other way for us to receive the “Gift” of Your Salvation and Life Eternal.

Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Luke 24:1-8

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them,

"Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen! He is ALIVE!

Remember how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' Then they remembered His Words.

Ladies and Gentlemen – that tomb is empty! We have evidence that Christ is no longer dead, but HE IS ALIVE!  Jesus first appeared to Mary in the Garden. Then He walked and talked with two along the road as He revealed what the scriptures said about Him beginning with Moses and the Prophets. They knew it was Jesus as their hearts burned within them and they knew Him in the breaking of bread. Then Jesus appeared in their presence and asked them to touch Him. Feel His Hands – His Feet, and His wounded side. Jesus ate broiled fish in their presence. Luke 24:9-53

Christ Jesus our Lord has completed His assignments here on earth. We no longer offer up the sacrifices of lambs, bulls and goats. We are NOT trying to appease an angry God. We are embracing a relationship with a Loving Father, Who would not spare His own Son to Redeem us from the just reward and consequences of our sins. Disobedience to God’s Laws produces sin. All idolatry is sin. Once we realize the results of our sins, we know we need a Savior, who is Christ Jesus.

For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and He knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His Sight. And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

1John 3:16-24

He’s ALIVE! All my sins are forgiven Heaven’s gates are open wide – He’s ALIVE!
