All of our sins have consequences. Sometimes the results of our sins have unintended results. Once we sin, we become a slave to sin. The “Good News” is that Jesus Christ came into this world to save sinners (1Timothy 1:15) If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father. We have a person in Christ Jesus who will stand before Almighty God and proclaim – “I’ve got you covered! I’ll pay the required price for your sins and the results of your sins! I will cancel ALL of your debts and transgressions and set you FREE from the bondage of your sins! Now GO and sin no more!”

Heavenly Father, we read in Your Word that no one comes to the knowledge of what Jesus has already done for them, except the Spirit of the Living God beckons them to come near. Many people will hear about God and make a public commitment of faith to follow the teachings of Christ. The real transformation happens when we become so “sick of our sins” that we repent and stop doing those things that are harmful and destructive for us. Your Forgiveness is available right now through prayer and faith.

Forgive us Lord! We have left undone those things that You have told us TO DO and we have done those things that You specifically told us NOT TO DO! Have Mercy upon us! Pardon and deliver us from ALL our sins. This we pray in the Authority of Jesus’ Name!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Luke 5:20-25 & John 20:21-23

When He {Jesus} saw their faith, He said to him, "Man, your sins are forgiven you." Then the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason among themselves, saying, "Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, "Why are you reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Rise up and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"- - He {Jesus} said to the man who was paralyzed, "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." Immediately he {the paralyzed man} rose up before them, took up {the matt or bed} that he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, Glorifying God {celebrating the miracle from God, as his personal restoration}.

So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you!  As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."

Ladies and Gentlemen, every person on earth from the Pope in Rome all the way to the “thief on the cross” has the same opportunity to TRUST in GOD and believe that Christ Jesus our Lord is His Beloved Son. We not only believe that Jesus was a Prophet who lived on the earth 2,000 years ago and did some miracles like restoring sight to the blind, allowing the lame to walk, healing the sick, bringing the dead back to life, commanding the wind and the waves to stop during a storm, and feeding 5,000 men and their families with a boy’s lunch.

We believe that we can embrace a personal relationship with Jesus. We have His Words! We have His Promises! We have Eternal Life because of His death, burial and Resurrection! We have the sure hope and assurance of our Salvation! We have the Open Windows of Heaven! We have the Peace of God that passes ALL of our understanding!

We are here today as the Children of God, heirs and co-heirs with Christ! We are His Beloved sons and His Beloved daughters, adopted by the Blood of the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world!

Amen and Amen!
