In any competition there are rules. When we are in a long distance race, we must pace ourselves in order to complete the course. While watching the cross country skiers during the Olympics we see their efforts are adjusted to the length of the race. We saw the best Dutch speed skater be disqualified by breaking the rules and not winning any reward. This human race that we are all participating in requires us to follow the rules with endurance. We must pace ourselves in all things.

Heavenly Father, grant us the good sense to do exactly what You have inspired us TO DO. We pray that we will Finish the Course that You have set before us. We are sometimes conscience of the rules and we pray that You will strengthen our endurance and our confidence to always follow Your rules. We believe Your Word that says that whosoever endures to the end, will receive a crown of life.  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is   1Corinthians 9:24-27  &   James 1:12  &  Philippians 3:10-14

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I control my body and make it my slave to obey the rules so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

I want to know Christ and the power of His Resurrection . . . . not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it {obtaining the prize}. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Ladies and Gentlemen, yesterday is dead and gone forever. The past is over! Tomorrow is only a dream. The Gift that we all have is TODAY, that is why we call it the Present!

What will you do with this next hour? None of us knows for certain when our time will come for us to pass from this dimension into the next realm, however, we are confident that because of what Christ Jesus has already done for us, we can have a right relationship with Him. We can trust that His Word is True and His Promises are FOREVER!

We would encourage each of you today, TO DO whatever You are going to do for the advancement of the Kingdom of God here on the earth, just as it is in Heaven. Let us all SEE what Jesus sees in every human and animal life. Let us HEAR what the Spirit of the Living Resurrected Lord is saying to my heart and obey His Words. Let us SAY exactly what Jesus would say in all circumstances and all situations that we embrace TODAY!

Amen and Amen!
