We read in the Bible, which we believe is the ‘Word of God’ given to us through faithful men who were led by the Holy Spirit to write down what they heard, witnessed, and remembered; that we are to GIVE THANKS. Jesus healed ten lepers, yet only one returned to give thanks. The woman with the alabaster jar, pour out on Jesus her very best gift to anoint Him so that everyone could smell Him and remember her extravagance towards Him.
Heavenly Father, You are our Creator and Sustainer of our very lives. We give You Lord THANKS & PRAISE for the Blessings that You have freely given to all of us. We THANK YOU for our daily food, each meal, for our clothing, for our safe shelter, for good transportation and for pure and clean water. We give You THANKS Lord God, with a heart full of gratitude, and sense of JOY unspeakable, knowing that You ARE our Father and we ARE Your Children! Amen and Amen!

But we are bound to GIVE THANKS to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for {the gift of} Salvation through sanctification by the Holy Spirit and belief in the truth {of His Words}, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by our words or by our epistle {written letters}.
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting covenant commitment and a good Hope by Grace {which causes Faith in Him}, may He comfort your hearts {with the Presence of His Spirit} and establish you {with strength and Divine Purpose} in every good word that you may speak and every good work that you may do.
