The apostle Paul wrote several letters to a young minister by the name of Timothy. In one of these letters Paul urged Timothy to pray for all of those in authority in order that WE may lead quite and peaceable lives. (1Timothy 2:1-3) Bring this concept forward almost 2,000 years and understand that we must pray for our local government officials, our mayors, city councils, school boards, and police departments; for our state government representatives, governors, and state police; and for our congressional men and women, all five branches of our military service personnel and their families at home and in foreign lands. We must also prayer earnestly for our President and those people that surround him.

Heavenly Father, we pray in agreement for Your Divine Purpose, Your Wisdom and Your Revelation Knowledge would be given to all of those people who serve You in this nation. We pray that they will have the ability to discern the true nature of every circumstance and event. Show they how to respond to crisis and enable them to make “Good” and “Right” decisions that will reflect the Kingdom of God here on earth, just as it is in Heaven.   Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is   John 17:1-17

Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes towards Heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him Authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent into the world.  I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have NOT finished the work that Almighty God has given us TO DO. We have a Divine Purpose for our lives here on earth. When we get concerned about the things that our Lord Jesus is concerned about, miracles will happen before our very eyes. Those sons and daughters that have abandon their faith, will come home to ask us – “What must I do to be saved?” Those people that work around may NOT have the assurance of their salvation. We should tell them about what our relationship with Christ Jesus has done for us.

We can overcome all of our enemies, by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our Testimonies!

Nothing is going to happen to us today, that the Lord our God does not already know about AND has made plans for us to participate in by His Grace! From God’s perspective, He is waiting for us to declare with our mouth, what we believe in our heart, in times of prayer, in times of giving thanks, in times of testing, in times of harvest, in times of sowing, in times of storms, and in times of worship.

Thanks be to God who gives us the Victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ!  We have overcome – Halleluiah I have been Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. I can testify to the evidence of what Jesus has done for me that I could never ever do for myself.

Look what the Lord has done in my life, and my family’s lives, in my local church family members lives and the answered prayers for ALL of those who are in positions of authority.

Amen and Amen!
