Our bodies are wonderfully made to respond to any wound that we might receive. If we get a splinter or accidently trip and fall, our natural internal reactions will provide certain blood cells to stop the outflow from the puncture and begin the healing process.

The Body of Christ has suffered a great wound. The people of the country of Haiti are devastated. Their section of this world has been completely changed forever. Imagine no electricity, no water, no gasoline for cars, no grocery stores to buy food, no hospitals to care for the broken and bleeding, and no one to help bury the thousands that are dead. Thank God that we have a group of “first responders” that will rush medical and food supplies by every means possible to begin this healing process.

Heavenly Father, we pray for Your Sovereign Divine Intervention for the people of Haiti. They need miracles in their lives today and we know that You ARE a miracle working God. Let the whole world witness the compassion of Christ Jesus as Your Holy Spirit moves among these people. Cover them with Your Hand of Protection so that no sickness and dread diseases will come near the care givers that are bringing relief. Lord Jesus, we ask the You would multiply the food and water resources to everyone on this island nation. Touch their lives today Lord and show us what we can DO to help our brothers and sisters in Christ in the country of Haiti.

This we ask in the authority of the Name of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior – Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Matthew 25:34-46

Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Ladies and Gentlemen, we must recognize that this is a world wide response to what has happened in the country of Haiti. Groups and relief efforts from several different nations have already delivered to this island nation much needed medical and food supplies. Try to imagine 3 million people without the basic necessities of life, living outside, sleeping in cars, tents, and on open ground. These people are unaware of the massive amounts of services being rushed towards them, because they have no telephones, no radios, no televisions, no leaders to tell them that help is on the way.

We must pray that the Peace of God that passes all understanding will keep the hearts and the minds of the people of Haiti from panic. Let these people in this crisis situation call upon Almighty God to deliver them from all their fears. While all of our efforts seem to be so little next to this mountain of need, we know for an absolute fact that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE with God!

Amen and Amen!
