Ladies and Gentlemen, we have observed some unusual comparisons lately! With respect to Sesame Street – One of these things is NOT like the others!

First Hurricane Harvey hit Texas and Louisiana gulf coast and people pulled together to help one another immediately. When the government assistant came and visited, people were respectful and gracious to accept the physical impact of resources provided to them.

Next Hurricane Irma hit Florida on both coasts and people pulled together to help one another immediately. The government resources were once again staged and ready to deploy as soon as the storm cleared to start restoring electrical power to the area.

In both these cases people of FAITH worked together – PRAYED and depended upon the LORD our GOD to intervene into our daily lives.

However, when we get to Puerto Rico, some things dramatically changed. People were demanding the government intervention was ‘not quick enough’. Officials were viciously attacking the President for ‘not caring about the people in Puerto Rico’. The lack of gratitude was overwhelming. All they seem to do was blame people for their personal tragedy and argue about where is the relief that they thought they were entitled too.

My point is this – With GOD ALL THINGS are possible! But when you depend upon the government to provide your daily survival needs, you will most certainly be disappointed.

Jesus gives us the best example of an attitude of gratitude with the encounter with the ten lepers that were healed:

So Jesus answered and said,

Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give Glory to God except this foreigner?

And He said to him,

Arise, go your way. Your Faith has made you well!

Luke 17:14-19

Holy Spirit of the Living LORD, we PRAY in agreement with Your Word that we would ALL take the time to give THANKS and PRAISE for these Divine Interventions that have happened in our lives each and every day. May the people of Texas, Louisiana and Florida continue to be HEALED from these disasters in America. May the people of Puerto Rico learn to be filled with gratitude and give God the Glory for delivering them from ALL their fears and frustrations.

Amen and Amen!
