Ladies and Gentlemen, we ALL have issues with ANGER!

Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the Truth that comes from Him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly Righteous and Holy.

So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And DO NOT SIN by letting anger control you.

Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for your anger gives a foothold to the devil.

If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Ephesians 4:21-29

.

Dear ones, this is the number one issue in our corporate lives and in our personal lives.

Anger is a reaction to a perceived wrong or a response to an offense. This deep political divide in our country is born out of ANGER and is kept at the boiling point by “unforgiveness”. Jesus says in Matthew 6:14-15

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also Forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Holy Spirit of Truth, we PRAY in agreement with Paul’s advice on dealing with ANGER in Your Word written in Romans 12:9-18

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really LOVE them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is Good. Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in Honoring each other.

Never be lazy but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble and keep on praying.

When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.

Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; PRAY that God will Bless them. Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.

Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!

Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are Honorable. Do all that you can to live in Peace with everyone.

LORD, let me FORGIVE everyone in exactly the same manner as You have Forgiven me of all my transgressions, all my offenses, and my ignorance of the emotions and feelings of others.

While we as a nation can FORGIVE the actions of these “mass shootings”, we must avoid at all costs being the catalyst to set someone “off” by our angry reactions. We must never payback evil deeds and evil words with more evil.

Make it so Dear LORD, make it so!
