Ladies and Gentlemen, we have the right attitude in prayer!
Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples,
Sit here while I pray. My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.
Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.
Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter,
Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Imagine that you are surrounded by family and friends and you have a ‘prayer need’. Your soul is exceedingly sorrowful. You are in agony beyond concern. The best approach to our Heavenly Father is exactly the same as Jesus said,
Abba – Father, ALL things are possible for You! Take this ___________ away from Me. Nevertheless it is NOT what I want to have happen. My only desire is to have Your Divine Purpose for my life to happen.
Holy Spirit of the Living Lord, we know that our spirits are willing. We have Faith and Trust and Hope as our assurances to receive an answer to ALL our Prayers. Sometimes our physical position, on our knees or laying prone on our face in humble submission takes on a whole different attitude in prayer.
