Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the Word of the LORD for today:

Do not be envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them; For their heart devises violence, and their lips talk of trouble making.

Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

For a Righteous man or woman may fall seven times and rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity. Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he or she stumbles.  Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the wicked; For there will be no prospect for the evil man or woman; the lamp of the wicked will be put out!

Proverbs 24:1-4 & 16-20

It has been for decades that we have wondered – How do these evil men and women in our government seem “to get away with breaking the laws” we would get punished for doing. As I misquote Mark Twain – Everybody talks about the corruption and nobody does anything about the corruption.

There is written in the Book of John, chapter twenty-one a conversation between Peter and Jesus:

Peter says - Lord, who is the one who betrays You?

With giving Jesus a chance to answer, Peter accuses another disciple - But Lord, what about this man?

The disciples start murmuring among themselves about who was going to die!

Jesus stopped all of this discord by saying – If this man lives – What is that to you?

Holy Spirit of the Living LORD, we PRAY in agreement with Your Word that we will NOT FRET because of evildoers. We will most certainly NOT be envious of their wicked ways. Remind us to stay true to our relationship with Christ Jesus our LORD and Savior and seek first and foremost our participation in His Kingdom being established here on earth – just as it is in Heaven.

Amen and Amen!
