Persecutions of Christians seems to be the norm in parts of the world, where Islam is in control.  Jesus taught His followers to love those that hate them, to do good to those that spitefully use them.

Father, give us the Grace to DO what Jesus taught us TO DO! Your Word declares that LOVE never fails, so grant Your People the power to love, to love all people, even our enemies.

Lord Jesus, forgive us! We have not followed Your teachings in this matter. Again we pray FORGIVE US and help us to do those things that are RIGHT in Your Sight. Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is   Matthew 5:44

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”     Matthew 5:44

Ladies and Gentlemen, there comes a point in our prayer time that we must press into a place that few of us really want to go! We must FORGIVE in exactly the same manner as we have already been FORGIVEN.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.     Matthew 6:14-15

We eagerly say “Yes, Lord” as we pray for the needs of our children, our parents, our circumstances that we want the Lord God Almighty to be involved with on a daily basis. However, when our mind and our hearts replay those hurtful and abusive attacks on me, my character, and question my actions and words, we should remember what Job did in the middle of his tribulations.

As he was mourning the losses of family members, his possessions, and with sores all over his body – he WORSHIPPED the Lord God and would not take to his heart the “advice of his friends” to curse God and die!   Job 2:9

Naked I came into this world, and naked I shall leave this world – Blessed BE the Name of the Lord!

And the LORD restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Now the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning;

In all the land were found no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations.

So Job died, old and full of days.   Job 42:10 & 12 & 15-17
