Today's Prayer Alert 11-01-2010

Are you prepared to exercise the authority and the responsibility that Almighty God has given to each adult CITIZEN of this country?  Are you going TO DO the one thing that generations of Americans have given their lives in order to protect our freedom to VOTE for the people that we want to represent us in our form of government?  Do you want men and women who believe that God is our source and His Divine Providence is what leads, guides, and directs our daily lives?  Do you have a firm reliance that when you pray, God answers those prayers and the righteous ones will rule the land?  Do you think that our Land needs to HEALED?

Heavenly Father, We are Your People!  We are called by Your Name! We know that Your Word says that “FAITH without works is dead” that our thoughts & good ideas mean nothing without our personal actions. We can have all of the good intentions and right way of thinking, but until we get out of homes, away from our jobs and go to the assigned places to cast our vote for the people that know You Lord and follow Your ways, then we will only reap doubts, discouragements, and fears.

Lord Jesus, we confess that we have no idea who to cast our vote FOR!  Lord, we know that Your Word says to look at the “heart” of a person and not their outward appearance. We are also to know the “spirit” of a person and not just the deeds of their flesh.  Please Lord, give us EYES to SEE and EARS to HEAR exactly what Your Holy Spirit is saying to Your People who are called by Your Name!

Let us VOTE FOR the person that knows God Created ALL LIVING things; that God Created ALL of us in HIS IMAGE & LIKENESS; and that His Son, Christ Jesus our Lord, has paid the price for ALL of our SINS!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  James 1:19-25

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the Righteousness of God.

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls. But BE doers of the Word, and not just hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was {or appears to be}.

But he who looks into the perfect Law of Liberty {1John 4:7-11} and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he {or she} does.
