The question for today – What does the Bible reveal about Eternal Life?

In the Bible we read that Christ Jesus our Lord has the Words of Eternal Life!  John 6:68

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.  Hebrews 11:3

How many times in Genesis do we read that “God said” (25 in just Genesis 44 times in the Bible).

Do we believe that the Bible is the Divinely Inspired Word of the Living one true God or do we considered the Bible to be a collection of writings that do not have anything that is relevant for my life today? If we want to have a close personal relationship with the Creator of all life, then we must read and understand His Words!

Cognitive desistence what is in us that will protect us from bad information being accepted in my mind or my heart. If you interview the mother of a mass murderer, she will testify under oath that her son could never ever commit such a crime, and she would be telling the truth from her perspective. This same reasoning is true of people who dismiss the Bible as the Living Words of Almighty God. These people cannot and will not believe the truth that there is a Creator or all living things that set this world in motion and sustains our daily lives.

Heavenly Father, we know that the Bible is Your written Word for ALL of mankind! EVERYTHING that we need to know is found on the pages and in the testimonies of the people of God!  All of the science, all of the medical, all of the laws and the consequences of disobedience, and all of the rewards for true obedience are in the Bible. For this reason we also Thank God without ceasing, because when we receive the Word of God into our hearts and minds, we welcome it, not as the words of just men, but as it is in truth, the Word of God, which also effectively works in the lives of those who believe and increases our Faith!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  1John 5:1-15

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot {or creates} also loves him who is begotten {or created} of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we Love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.

And this is the testimony: that God has given us Eternal Life, and this Life is in His Son. He who has the Son has Life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have Eternal Life, and that you may continue to believe in the Name of the Son of God.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will {Divine Purpose}, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
