If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?   1John 4:20

Ladies and Gentlemen, WHAT IS A LIAR?

By most definitions, a “liar” is someone that gives FALSE TESTIMONIES! There is NO TRUTH in the statements that a person makes. Our Lord God, gave us a specific commandment against make false and untrue statements about people, about events, and especially about what God has done, is doing, and has promise to do in the future.  (Exodus 20:16 and Deuteronomy 5:20)

So the question is, how do we know for certain that anyone is lying or giving false testimony to us?

Each of us, when we were “knit together” within our mother’s womb are given certain DNA properties. When we receive the “breath of life” we start to assimilate the differences – warmth / cold – dry / wet – sound / silence – light / dark. As we grow older we discover that certain actions have a value and will produce a response. As we learn to speak, we begin to communicate with adults, teenagers, other human beings and even some animals our thoughts, ideas, and requests. Most all mothers have a built in radar and can recall the details of an event, whenever a child has an accident. Moms will ask a child, “Is that really the way that this happened?” which gives the child the choice to tell the truth and agree to abide by the consequences of their statements. Children also learn to lie by watching and listening to their parents say things like, “Tell them that I am not here right now!” or “Don’t tell your father what we did today!”.

We must all remember that every word spoken can bring life or death, blessings or curses, truth or false statements to the people that hear what we say.

Heavenly Father, we know that You ARE Spirit and You are Truth!

Our prayer of agreement is that the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart would BE acceptable to You, Oh Lord God. We pray that everything that is reproduced within us is the Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but Your Truth. Help us all to speak Blessings into the lives of our family, or extended families, our local governments, our state representatives, and to our national leaders. Let us make sure of our facts before we accuse others of false testimonies.

For God Almighty will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether the deeds are good or the actions are evil.   Ecclesiastes 12:14

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.   Luke 6:45

Let us speak everything we say today, just as if Jesus Himself was standing right next to us as we pronounce our words of truth.

Amen and Amen!
