The question for today is – Who do you TRUST?

Is there any person in your life that you totally and unconditionally trust?  Is your trust because of a long term relationship that has experienced all sorts of storms and celebrations. How is your trust earned?  Do you have a firm reliance upon divine providence? Do you hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL men and women are created equal and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain undeniable rights? Do you personally TRUST Christ Jesus as Lord of your life?

Heavenly Father, we TRUST our relationship with You, because of the completed work of Your Son Christ Jesus, our Lord and our Savior! There is no other God that we worship and proclaim as the one true God that created Heaven and earth and ALL that is in the earth.  YOU ARE the covenant keeping God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!  Your Word is TRUE and Your Promises are FOREVER!

Lord Jesus, we have no confidence in our ways of discerning Your Truth!  We have heard and seen so many many lies and distortions of truth that we have grown callous and cynical of the constant bombardment from all of our elected leaders.  CLEAR THE AIR, Lord!  Remove the fog and all of the rhetoric that confuses us, and causes us to doubt.  Show us in Your Word, the Truth about the circumstances and events that we are facing TODAY!  As the psalmist says:

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path!  Psalms 119:105

Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Proverbs 3:5-10

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear {awesome respect for} the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.

Honor the LORD with {all of} your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase; So your barns {storehouses} will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Let not Mercy and Truth forsake you {always be willing to show His Mercy and speak His Truth}; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart {very center of your being}, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.

Make is so dear Lord, make it so!
