Ladies and Gentlemen, we are spiritual beings that are here on a temporary assignment! The American people have been telling the politicians that ‘everyone needs a job’! The American dream was to work hard and create success and share your wealth with others.  The American nightmare has become to depend totally on the government; wait for someone else to give me what I want; and file a lawsuit to make others conform to my bidding!  Congress is mandating that we re-distribute the wealth of our nation. In two weeks we will elect those men and women to the Congress of the United States that will change the course of history!  We must choose those men and women that will PRAY and seek divine guidance daily! We need people who are willing to serve, instead of be served.

Heavenly Father, Jesus gave us the best example of real leadership when He washed the disciples’ feet! (John 13:3-20) So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.  If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.”

We pray in agreement today for the spiritual discernment to find those people that are seeking public office that are willing to wash some feet!  Show us all how to be ‘foot washers’ as we go about our Father’s business, doing what we are called TO DO on our temporary assignment!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Romans 13:8-14

Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

For as it is written in the commandments:  "You shall not commit adultery"

"You shall not murder"

"You shall not steal"

"You shall not bear false witness"

"You shall not covet"   and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Amen and Amen!
