John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, 'I am not the Christ,' but, 'I have been sent before Him.' He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

He who has received His testimony has certified that God is True. For He whom God has sent speaks the Words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father Loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."   John 3:27-36

Ladies and Gentlemen, in these nine verses we read about the humble faith of John the Baptist as he spoke about Christ Jesus our Lord, and His cousin.

John says – I have nothing that has not been given to me, unless it comes for Heaven, no one has.

John says – I am not the Christ, however, His Joy, His Success, His Passion encourages me and fills me up to overflowing happiness. Jesus is God in the flesh and the Promise of God fulfilled.

John says – Listen to what Jesus says, for these are the very Words of God!

John says – Know that ALL THINGS have been given into His Hands. Whoever believes that Christ Jesus is the Son of God has everlasting life! If you do not believe in Jesus, then your life is only what you see and do now.

John worships the Lord and says – He must increase, and I must decrease!

Heavenly Father, Almighty God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords! We declare with our mouth what we believe in our heart; that You ARE the CHRIST, the SON of the Living God!

We understand that like John, we are here on assignment!  You created us for a Divine Purpose. We all have a value to our future that is worth something. We must stop doing “risky” things. We cannot ignore our “prayer time” with You Lord. We must continue to seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His Right Way of Living.

Like John says, the Love of God must increase and the love of this world must decrease!

I am here on assignment! Lord Jesus, help me today to work on my Divine Purpose that will prepare the way for the Kingdom of God here on earth, just as it is in Heaven!

Amen and Amen!
