One person esteems one day above another; another person esteems every day alike. Let each of you be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and still gives God thanks. For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.

So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.   Romans 14:5-8 & 12

Ladies and Gentlemen, there are certain traditions that are scripturally based and should be followed for the exercising of our faith. Young school children are taught to say a prayer before every meal:

“Come Lord Jesus and be our guest, and let this food to us be Blessed”

“Lord, we thank You for this food that we are about to receive. Bless it to the nourishment of our bodies and us to Thy Service. Also, Bless the hands that prepared this meal for us to eat”

Imagine that every time we stopped to eat today, we would invite the Presence of our Lord and Savior to sit with us at the table, in the same booth, or in the passenger seat of the car. We should THANK HIM always for His abundant provision in our lives. We would recognize that EVERYTHING we have comes from His Divine Purpose for our very lives. We should acknowledge that Jesus is the very source of our bodies’ sustained existence and that apart from Him, we can do nothing by ourselves. Most of us do not forage for our food like animals. Think about taking that next sip of water as if it were “living water” that was pulled for the well springs of life and given to you by Jesus Himself.

Heavenly Father, You ARE Jehovah – Jireh, my Provider! Your Grace is sufficient for ALL MY NEEDS!

We believe that Christ Jesus is Lord of ALL!   Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every Name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:11 & Isaiah 45:23)

Above all else we pray as You Lord taught us to pray,

Your Kingdom BE established in my life today, and Your Divine Purpose be fulfilled through my attitudes, actions, and words spoken here on earth just as it is in heaven.
 Matthew 6:10

Amen and Amen!
