What are you THANKFUL for today!

We visited with a pastor last week named John Ettore with the Gathering Place Church in San Diego, California. LINK = www.GatheringPlaceChurch.org

We were discussing “Present Day Miracles” and John related to us a deep sense of Thanksgiving for what the Lord our God has done for him personally. He shared is profound sense of simple things in his life that he knows were only given by the Grace of God. John would look at his fork while he was eating a meal and was overwhelmed that in his hand he held a utensil to put food in his mouth, to sustain his life and to nourish his body. He was grateful that he had an inside toilet to flush. He talked about all of those people he knew in Africa that had no such privacy and no water to drink much less to use in a toilet.  Whenever we stopped our daily routine and pause to reflect on the Goodness and the Mercies and all of the Blessings from our Heavenly Father, it is simply amazing how our heart rejoices in ALL that we can see, touch, taste, feel and hear!

Heavenly Father, those of us who KNOW YOU, we have no doubts about how GOOD YOU ARE!  You LOVE US with an everlasting LOVE that cannot be explained in human terms. Because of what Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior has done, we have an abundant life NOW and LIFE Eternal in the world to come.  We know for certain that our right standing with You is NOT because of anything that we have done.  How is it that YOU ABIDE IN ME?  During times of prayer, I sense Your Presence and I read Your Word to confirm the Truths that apply to my life here on earth, just as it is in Heaven.

I understand that ALL THINGS are POSSIBLE for me and my family and my friends. Thank You Lord for hearing my prayers. I know that YOU ALWAYS hear our prayers.  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  1John 5:1-10

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His Commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His Commandments, and His Commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our FAITH. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus Christ our Lord is the Son of God?

This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is Truth. For there are three that bear witness in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are ONE in agreement. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

He who has the Son has Life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have Life.

These things I have written to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have Eternal Life, and that you may continue to believe in the Authority of Name of the Son of God.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His Will – Divine Purpose, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Amen and Amen!
