Whoever believes in Him {Christ Jesus} is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the Name of God's one and only Son.  This is the verdict: His Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.  But whoever lives by the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.    John 3:18-21

Ladies and Gentlemen, this past week three world leaders spoke before the United Nations assembly in New York City. Not one of these men spoke about Almighty God and our need for His Divine Intervention. Not one of these men addressed our sins against God’s creation and the persecution of His people. Two of these men openly denounced Israel’s people and one of them demanded that Israel abandoned their occupation of lands that they have held since 1967.

Whenever anyone takes a position against God or against God’s people, there will be consequences! Whether or not the rest of the world “likes it” or “believes it” Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and earth, and all the things on the earth, took the chance and gave each and every one of us “free will” with the eager anticipation and loving hope that we would choose Him and His Way of living our lives.

Those of us that KNOW that Christ died for our sins, in order that we can be reconciled to a right relationship with God, must now pray for His Mercies. We must all pray for His Forgiveness.  We should pray and ask Almighty God to keep His Favor with us and protect us from attacks by Iran and North Korea and radical Islamic militant fanatics.  We should intercede on Israel’s behalf against their enemies, because they can no longer depend upon the leaders of the United States for support.

Heavenly Father, have MERCY upon us, Oh most merciful Lord! Pardon and Deliver us from all our national sins. Forgive our arrogance and foolish pride. Forgive us for thinking that we know what to do without consulting You or Your Word to lead, guide and direct our daily lives. Lord Jesus, You are the Light of the world. Your Presence will dispel all darkness. Fill the hearts and minds of Your People all over this earth with Your Truth. Show forth Your Goodness and Your Loving Kindness and do not give us what we deserve by our ignoring Your Gifts and not trusting You with our whole heart.

Lord God, we pray that same prayer that Jesus prayed from His Cross:

Father, Forgive them, for they know not what they do!

Amen and Amen!
