God has often spoken to His People through Prophets and much of the “Old Testament” writings are prophesies, announcing God’s Blessings or God’s Judgments. All scriptures are inspired by God and we must read the written Word of God in order to receive fresh revelations of the Character and the Nature of our Heavenly Father.

John the Baptizer was sent by God to announce the mission and the ministry of Christ Jesus our Lord. We can read how God’s direct involvement with aunt Elizabeth and her niece Mary as both were filled with the Spirit of the Living Lord according to the prophesies of Isaiah, Malachi and others. Luke 1:1-80    Many prophesies have come to pass and many more are yet to be fulfilled.

Heavenly Father, we know that Your Word is TRUE! We know that You have given us Your Holy Spirit to guide us into ALL TRUTH!  As we read Your Word daily, open the eyes of our understanding and let us listen with spiritual ears to hear what Your Holy Spirit is saying to the People of God for today. Help us to verify every prophecy that we may hear or read with the written Word of God!

Lord Jesus, speak to my heart and renew my mind through Your Word and Spirit of Truth!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  2Timothy 3:16-17  &   Deuteronomy 8:1-6 & 17-19

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man {and the woman} of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers. And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.

When your heart is lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; then you say in your heart, 'My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.' And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His Covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.

Blessed BE the Name of the LORD most High!
