On Saturday August 28, hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Washington DC in response to an invitation given by television personality, Glenn Beck.

The crowd was estimated to have been about 500,000 people that stood in the sunshine and listened in an orderly fashion to the message proclaimed by ordinary American citizens that called all of us to return to FAITH – HOPE – CHARITY as principles for our daily lives. We were encouraged to “restart the heartbeat of America” by restoring HONOR and INTEGRITY by always telling the TRUTH to one another, and to ourselves. Washington cannot fix what is broken in America, only our relationship with Almighty GOD can led us out of this darkness that is covering our land.

Heavenly Father, on this we can all agree, YOU ARE our only source for healing our nation!  We thank You for the voices that are being raised in these hours of continuing economic crisis. We Thank You for the unity of faith that was shown by the members of the “Black Robe Regiment” with 240 pastors, ministers, rabbis, priests, and preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as they stood arm in arm and proclaimed:

With firm reliance on Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Lord Jesus, we are Your People, called by Your Name! We confess that we have NOT always put You and our relationship with You as the first priority in our lives. We want to turn from our wicked ways. We want Your very Presence to be with us today!  We are more than two or three gather together in Your Name! Your Word promises that You Lord, will hear our prayers and You Lord will HEAL OUR LAND!    Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  John 17:6-23

I have manifested Your Name {Jehovah} to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your Word. Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. For I have given to them the Words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.

I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them through Your Name those whom You have given Me, that they may be ONE as We are.

Sanctify them by Your Truth. Your Word is Truth!

I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be ONE, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be ONE in US, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the Glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be ONE {in the same} just as We are ONE: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in ONE {accord, one mind, one heart}, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them {in exactly the same manner} as You have Loved Me {Your only begotten Son}.
