What does the Lord our God SAY to me today?

Jesus says, “If you abide in My Word, you are My Disciples indeed. You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free!”  John 8:31-32

Do you want to be set free from the bondage of doubts and fears?  Do you want to escape from the pit of despair, dirt, and distrust?  We must be about our Father’s business of gaining an eternal perspective on our lives. This attitude of knowing that “I AM” a Spiritual Being on a temporary assignment, here on earth is the greatest equalizer to the inequities of my life!

Heavenly Father, our prayer today is to fix our eyes on the unseen world of eternity!  We pray for the ability to discern “a lie” from “the Truth of Your Word”!  We hear the empty rhetoric of most politicians that seems to be proclaimed in their own arrogance. The sheer volume of their speech seems to be wrapped in just enough truth to be considered “reasonable”!  Give us ears to hear what Your Holy Spirit is saying to the churches in America!

Lord Jesus, we pray that You would cast down our vain imaginations and bring EVERY thought captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus our Lord and our Savior!  2Corinthians 10:2-5

Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  2Corinthians 4:1-9 & 13-18

Therefore since we have this ministry as we have received His Mercy we do not lose heart {DO NOT despair!}But we have renounced the hidden things of shame not walking in craftiness nor handling the Word of God deceitfully but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

But even if our Gospel is veiled it is veiled to those who are perishing whose minds the god of this age has blinded who do not believe lest the light of the Gospel of the Glory of Christ who is the image of God should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus the Lord and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side yet not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed—

And since we have the same spirit of faith according to what is written "I believed and therefore I spoke" we also believe and therefore speak knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus and will present us with you.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction which is but for a moment is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory while we do not look at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Jesus says it directly to us in Matthew 6:19-34

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; For where your treasure is there your heart will be also.

The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good your whole body will be full of light.

But if your eye is bad your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness how great is that darkness!

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon {worldly gain personified as a false god having material wealth as an evil influence}.

Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

Therefore do not worry saying 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'  For after all these things the Gentiles {unbelievers} seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness {His Divine Purpose for your life} and all these things shall be added to you.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Amen and Amen!
