Ladies and Gentlemen, when Jesus was on the earth, He asked 12 men to “Follow Me”! These men spent three years watching miracles, listening to teachings of authority, and modeling their lives to be just like Jesus. These 12 men became 70 men that were sent out in pairs to minister, in the same manner that these followers of Christ had done. (Luke 10:1)
My point is this, as we follow people, there are people that are following us! You may have thought that “social networking” like “twitter” or “facebook” were some sort of new concept. Jesus started this idea about 2,000 years ago. We should choose to follow Jesus every minute of every hour of every day!
We can have instant communications with the Lord God Almighty through prayer!
We should always make prayer our FIRST response and not our last resort on any matter!
Heavenly Father, we know that Your Word says, that one day is like a thousand years (2Peter 3:8). While we may think that we have time enough TO DO what You have called us to do; we know that none of us will spend eternity on this earthly realm. On this the 14th day of July, I will celebrate the beginning of my 83rd year of life here on earth. This is also my 62nd year as a minister of the Gospel.
Father, I THANK YOU, with all of my heart, for the privilege of serving as a pastor in the work of Your Kingdom. You Lord, have taught me how to pray! You Lord, have shown me how to love those people that You Love! I know that You want Your People to pray about everything. We need Your Divine Help! For without You, Jesus, we can do nothing that will make any real difference. So Today, I ask You to guide my steps, as I enter another year of ministry.
Keep Your Word to those that I have taught Your Word. Help those that know Your Word, to share Your Word with those that need Your Word. Help us all to lead others to a right relationship with You Lord Jesus, through prayer. We want TO DO what is pleasing to You Lord!
Thank You Lord, for hearing our prayers. We know that You always hear the prayers of my heart!
Amen and Amen!
The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is 1Corinthians 10:31 to 11:1
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the Glory of God. Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the Church of God, just as I also {try to} please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
Amen and Amen!
