Jesus says to His Disciples and to us:

Not everyone that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the ‘will’ of My Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21

The Christian life is more than ‘talk’, it is a daily walk!  Doing things in obedience to His Word Day by Day – Step by Step

The Governor of the State of Texas has proclaimed a “Day of Prayer” for those people affected by the series of events in the Gulf of Mexico. He is a leader that knows prayer changes circumstances.

Heavenly Father, we have found that following You is not always easy. Some of us have been falsely accused of things that we knew nothing about. Even in this generation some people have given their lives because they would not deny their faith in the one true, living God. As Joshua said so many years ago – choose you this day who you will serve! As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  James 1:19-25

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the Word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says to do. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it - he will be blessed in what he does.

Ladies and Gentlemen, God’s LOVE for us is overwhelming! We cannot comprehend the height, depth, length or width of God’s LOVE for us. So how do we show our Love for God? How can we demonstrate our Love for Him who has already given His very best to us?

Obey His Word!

Say what Jesus says! Do what Jesus does!

Pray and walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh every moment of every hour of every day.

All that is required of us is to Love God and to Love one another! Everything else we do must come out of a heart that loves. 1 John 4:1-21

Try this today – read out loud 1 Corinthians 13:4-10 and substitute the word “love” with the word “Jesus”. Now recite these same seven verses and substitute the word “love” with YOUR NAME!

Here is a link to that scripture verse so that you can do that right now - 1Corinthians 13:4-10

Be just like Jesus today and LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

Amen and Amen!
