Do you know that some of the most powerful and effective prayers are found in the Bible?

If you really want to know more about a person listen to them pray, then you can discern where their heart is on any matter. I never met the Apostle Paul, but I feel like I know him. Just read his prayer in his letter addressed to the church at Ephesus:

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His Calling, what are the riches of the Glory of His Inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His Power toward us who believe, according to the working of His Mighty Power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His Right Hand {of Authority} in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Heavenly Father, we know that Paul’s prayer is one long sentence. What we read is the attitude of his heart wanting the VERY BEST of Blessings for the People of God. We pray that our testimony will always be about “How much God LOVES us, instead of how much we love God!” Our relationship with Christ Jesus as Lord of our life is all about what HE HAS DONE and not about anything that I am doing. He forgave all my sins. Jesus died for me. He listens to all my prayers. Jesus prays for me. That same power that raised Christ Jesus from the dead is in me!

Thanks be to God Almighty for His unspeakable Gifts!    Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is Ephesians 1:1-23

Ladies and Gentlemen, when we receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation knowledge we will understand that there is NO DIFFERENCE between “secular” and “sacred”!

Whatever we SAY and whatever we DO, must be done as if we were doing and saying it our Lord JESUS! If I am a musician, then every instrument that I play, I should play as if I were playing my very best for Jesus!  If I am a cook, then every meal that I prepare, I should create and pray over that this meal will provide nourishment for one or more of God’s sons or daughters. If I am a pastor, I should “feed the sheep” that God has provide in the green pasture that He also has provide and be willing to wash some dirty and smelly feet.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the Peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.  Colossians 3:12-17

Amen and Amen!
