One of the key lines in the final episode of the popular television series titled “LOST” that seemed to make sense of the whole series was “EVERYBODY DIES SOMETIME”!

The Bible reads it part – as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Every person knows there is one appointment that we will keep. The question now becomes: When is my appointed time? When will my body cease to function? When will my spirit be transformed towards eternal Light and Life or towards eternal darkness, void, and separation?

Heavenly Father, we pray today, for those of us who are nearest to our own death. Your Word is very clear that our death does NOT end it all . . . . . for there is truly Life after death!  We have the evidence of Your Resurrection! We have the testimony of many people that have had ‘near death’ experiences!  We believe that Your Word is TRUE and Your Promises are FOREVER!

We that have put our Faith and our Trust in Christ Jesus as Lord, know that He whom God has raised from the dead has made a way for us all to have Life everlasting! Help us dear Lord, to share this Good News with the people in this world that are truly LOST!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  John 3:12-21

If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have Eternal Life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the Light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.

Ladies and Gentlemen, in the Gospel Song – Amazing Grace we sing the phrase “I once was lost, but now I’m found; I was blind, but now I see”  There was a time in our lives that we were absent of knowledge. We were lost in our sins and transgressions. We were as blind people bumping into everything and everyone without any hope of our lives changing. We could not see God in all of His Creation. We could not hear God and the sound of His Voice calling my name. We could not sense God’s Presence, that rush of a mighty wind, or the warmth of His Breath that gives us Life. We could not believe that someone would suffer a cruel torture and actual lay down His Life for me.

Now, all of these “could not” have become “can now” since the Son of Almighty God has redeemed me from the consequences of all my sins.  My name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!  Halleluiah !!!

How precious did that Grace appear, the hour that I first believed!

Amen and Amen!
