The World Bank reported that 1.4 billion people In the so called developing nations of world live on less that one dollar and twenty-five cents per day. Another 1.2 billion people live on less than two dollars per day. This is now considered the new Poverty level. Poverty is hunger without any access to food. Poverty is lack of shelter unless you consider cardboard boxes and mud huts as a home. Poverty is being sick and not being able to see a doctor. Poverty is not having access to school and not knowing how to read.

Heavenly Father, we pray today for all the people of this world that live in poverty. Help us all to give out of Your Abundance towards us to fill their needs today. Help us to put together “care packages” for missionaries in foreign lands. If your church has no missionaries, then go down the street and ask your neighboring church, regardless of denomination, would they receive your support for missionaries around the world.

Lord Jesus, we must take care of one another, pray with one another, and love one another in exactly the same manner that You love us, unconditionally. Everything that I have in my life today comes as gifts, from the Giver of Gifts!  We need Your Spirit of Generosity and confidence TO GIVE whenever this world says to hold on to what you have gotten and fear that somehow you won’t have enough.  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is    Philippians 4:4-6-7-19-23

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

I can do all things through Christ Jesus our Lord who strengthens me.

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. And my God shall supply all your need according to His Riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.

Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you.

The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Apostle Paul traveled the known world and was continuingly giving and planting churches. Paul understood the law of reciprocity which means: to give and receive mutually; to return in kind or even in another kind or degree for the mutual benefit of both parties in a relationship. Paul receives Great Grace from the Lord Jesus, he shares this knowledge and love by investing (sowing) into the lives of people in churches that he planted. When Paul made a return trip to these churches, they provided Paul with gifts and a harvest (reaping) in order that Paul could go start some more churches.

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

2Corinthians 9:6-8

This is how we can wipe out poverty – Give just as much as we have received from the Lord!

Amen and Amen!
