The House Church Movement in China has seen millions of people come to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus! It has been reported that more than 160 million Chinese people are now Christians, not just in name, but in daily practice. However, the government of China has only approved of three national churches and their attendance to these remains small and irregular.

Heavenly Father, we Thank You for what You are doing in the nation of China! Faithful people, meeting house to house in fellowship and breaking bread, loving one another and encouraging one another. We believe that Your early Church prospered in much the same manner, while the government of Roman did not approve of their practice either. Lord Jesus, we don't need government approval to worship You! We can seek Your very Presence! We know that You will hear our prayers. We are free to follow Your Word and be imitators of Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for today is  Act 2:42-47

And they {new Christians} continued steadfastly in the Apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.  And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.  And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and they sold {some of} their possessions and {some of their} goods, and parted them to all, as every man had need. They all, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Ladies and Gentlemen; we can remember when the “church house” was the center of the rural communities. The “church house” was the school house. The “church house” was the gathering place for us to help one another. The “church house” was the voting place and everyone knew how you voted!

Jesus says “My House shall BE a house of Prayer!” but we have made it something else. We spend more time of church announcements, socializing, and sermons than we DO praying together in one accord. When was the last time a pastor stood in front of congregation and asked to join with him in prayer? When has our songs, and hymns, and spiritual songs brought the very Presence of God into His House, so that He could be worshipped and give us all His Wisdom and His Revelation Knowledge about what we should be doing during these troubled times?

We need You Lord, every hour we need Thee!

Open the eyes of my heart to see You – Jesus!

Amen and Amen!
