The Apostle John says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him {Christ Jesus}, that if we ask anything according to His will {divine purpose}, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”  1John 5:14-15

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens; forgive one another’s transgressions; ignore outrageous insults and verbal attacks; and so we should get into an agreement in all of our prayers.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your Presence with confidence and assurance that we are in a right relationship with You because of the completed work of Your Son – Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. So we pray following the pattern of prayer that Jesus taught us to pray:

Our Father in Heaven – Hallowed be Your Name! Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on earth, just as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.  Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.  Lead us not into temptations, and deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory FOREVER and EVER!  Amen and Amen!

The scriptural reference for Today’s Prayer Alert is  Acts 2:42-47

For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the outline of what we call the Lord’s Prayer is simple truth that shows the attitude of our hearts when we pray. What are the things that we should ask of God?

What are the events and circumstances that Jesus is really concerned about? What does God’s Kingdom look like? What is God’s Divine Purpose for my life?

What is daily bread? How should we feed, digest, or take inside of us God’s Word daily? Have we forgiven those that have offend us? Have we forgiven those who have stolen our time and our energy?  What are my temptations? Will I truly follow where ever God leads?

Am I distracted, discouraged, depressed, or even filled with doubts about who is my Lord?

Yours is the Kingdom and we serve an AWESOME GOD!

Yours is the Power, the same Power that raised Christ from the dead, and His Power is in us, because Greater is He that is in me, than any demon that is in this world!

Yours is the Glory, Your Abiding Presence surrounds me EVERYWHERE that I go! Your Love follows me, just as Your Goodness and Your Mercies follow me all of the days of my life.

I will dwell in the House of the Lord – FOREVER!

Amen and Amen!
